HannaandAbebe

Hanna and Abebe Friendship explores the joy of early childhood learning through the theme of friendship, celebrating diversity and connection.
It encourages children to see differences as strengths, fostering unity and understanding.

This book aims to inspire young children with essential values such as inclusivity, diversity, and empathy—nurturing open minds through fun and meaningful stories.

I believe in instilling empathy from an early age to shape future leaders who embrace a world of tolerance, equality, and appreciation of differences—elements that enrich our society.

Behind the work

I created the 'Hanna and Abebe' trilogy to instill empathy in children. Everyday societal interactions highlighted the crucial need for empathy and respect in our world. Understanding diverse perspectives, lifestyles, and beliefs is essential to fostering decency and driving positive change.

Observing influential individuals lacking empathy raises concerns about global decision-making. This realisation reinforced my belief in the importance of instilling empathy from an early age to shape future leaders who embrace a world of tolerance, equality, and appreciation of differences—elements that enrich our society.

The 'Hanna and Abebe' trilogy aspires to be a small yet meaningful step in nurturing a generation that celebrates diversity and contributes positively to our shared global community.

Inspiration

The 'Hanna and Abebe' trilogy draws inspiration from three visionary designers, whose influence guided me in creating a collection of books centered around the core values of equality: knowledge, empathy, and tolerance. Each of these values is represented by a unique shape, which served as a foundation for the book's design—infusing symbolism and aesthetics into the project.

This book aims to inspire young minds with essential values such as inclusivity, diversity, and empathy—nurturing open hearts through engaging and meaningful stories.
