Drawing inspiration from Bruno Munari's book 'The Animals,' I embarked on the creation of a grammar card project for primary school children. The project comprises seventy-two cards designed to make learning Italian grammar an enjoyable experience.
These cards feature digitalized drawings of nature themes on the front and grammar rules on the back.
Each theme's card count varies by chapter length. I collaborated with artist Martoz and primary school teacher Manuela Masotti.
The front has a natural look, while the back uses clean Helvetica font for child-friendly clarity. Calligraphy fonts add familiarity, and black and white characters maintain engagement. Color choices aim to balance tranquility and attention retention, as colors impact mood and perception.
Research links color preferences to student performance, with attributes like hue, value, and saturation playing a role.
Our eyes use rods and cones to distinguish colors, and these signals influence emotional and hormonal responses.
