I led the design and digital campaign for 'Hello 2021,' an online New Year's Eve event by YouTube Originals in the UK and Europe. The event unites celebrities and creators for a live NYE celebration, and our digital campaign garnered 7.6 million views. This project was executed at Gramafilm London, with collaboration from Creative Producer Adam Laughton and Animator David Jackson.

Behind the work
Amidst a challenging year marked by the pandemic, we aimed to bring joy while respecting the gravity of the situation. Our New Year's Eve celebration adopted a nostalgic, inclusive, and retro style reminiscent of the early 2000s, paying tribute to YouTube's origins as a platform driven by creators that fostered strong communities.
Using 'Dynamic Patterns' as a visual symbol, we represented the vibrant YouTube creator community and conveyed a spirit of celebration and unity.
Through motion, our dynamism injects energy into brand elements to express the exuberance of our NYE celebration.
